A BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN

A Beautiful Black Woman Who says black isn't beautiful A Black Woman is proud of herself. She respects herself and others. She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from the person she is with, nor does she expect them to read her mind. She is quite capable of articulating her needs. A beautiful black woman is hopeful. She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true. She knows love, therefore she gives love. She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated. If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears. A beautiful black woman has a dash of inspiration and a dabble of endurance. She knows that she will, at times, have to inspire others to reach the potentials God gave them. A beautiful black woman knows her past, understands her present and moves towards the future. A beautiful black woman knows God. She knows that with God the world is her playground, but without God she will just be played. A good black woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past. Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons, meant to bring her closer to self knowledge and unconditional self love. I Love Black Women, we are strong, courageous and proud of our struggles, and scares. I LOVE Black women because they are the mothers of our Black future. I love Black women because of their Enduring strength, a strength that at times has risen Above the failures of some Black fathers I love their Curly hair, their braided hair, their straightened and Even kinky hair. I love their full lips, their brown skin. A beautiful black skin without blemish Be proud of the black skin just the way it is. But most of all, I Love Black women because I am the product of a Black Woman. I am black, proud and strong, I am Bloom Makeovers Enjoy ur holiday.

Dami and Tunde

Down to earth Dami, I met her through my ex-student Debola, stubborn Debola like I love to call her or I simply say blow whistle, lol am sure she is laughing if she is reading this. Dami and Tunde’s wedding was explicit , it was fun all the way the celebrity photographer Soji Oni’s presence reduced tension in the room as he cracked jokes in the house. The wedding was planned by Mo Bridals my friend and Mentor, of course everything went well. I celebrate you both Dami and Tunde may God bless your home. Thank you for choosing Bloom Makeovers

Beautiful brides

Beautiful brides First I will like to apologies for the long break, this is due to work load in recent times and also planning of my wedding (shy). Did I hear congratulations? Lol. Thank youuuuuu. Now talking about my beautiful brides, KATE, PEARL AND MRS ADEPOJU, these brides are simply wonderful and nice. Kate’s wedding was held in Lagos, I enjoyed every bit of the wedding I had to learn new dancing steps from my nutty friend kate. Pearl’s wedding was held in Abuja, it was a reunion for me and am sure my Airtel colleagues agrees with me. The best part for me was the “IBO native food I ate hummmmm yummy. Mrs Adepoju like I love to address her, the wedding was held at Ilesha. Mrs Adepoju was very accommodating; my favorite part of the wedding was the traditional marriage the ALAGA IDURO was awesome I laughed holding my tummy. I just love weddings may God bless my beautiful brides. Mrs Uyoh Sule

My pretty bride Uyoh, I remembered she made a comment on my blog and I am so happy it’s time to write about her. When I met Uyoh she told me she doesn’t like laughing in pictures because it makes her nose flat. Then I told her about the power of a bronzer and it worked perfectly well.
I met Uyoh through her best friend Yinka, these are the most amazing friends I have ever met. If you try to settle any dispute between them you can be sure you will blame yourself eventually, “lol”, they are just like sisters.
I enjoyed myself to the fullest, of course you can be sure of what to expect from an event planner’s wedding, I couldn’t get enough time for my traditional makeup I had to work on my bride for just 15min, oops! the good news is that it came out well. Wish I had more time (sad face), thank God I had enough time on Saturday for her hair and makeup trust me I utilized the opportunity well “lol”.
I had good fun with my bride, her friends and families they are good people, couldn’t have asked for a better place to be on the 5th and 6th of july 2013.
God bless your home dearie.

LASGIDI

My lagos trip for Nkem’s wedding was not just fun, I enjoyed every bit of my stay at the Nicon Luxury Hotel VGC lagos. Don’t we just love it when our clients pamper us? I sure do.

Though it was stressful being on the train and as well as being the makeup artist thank God the service was for 11am everything went as planned. I met Nkem through my childhood friend Bisola, Nkem was really nice and homely though she got me nervous as she didn’t want to be late for church service.

Nkem’s wedding is an exceptional one apart from the fun, I got several compliments from friends and families, got to meet amazing vendors. I remember after the wedding, a lady came to the hotel room, saw Nkem and said “did you change makeup again? She laughed and said it’s still the same makeup”. She laughed and said she needs the makeup artist contact. They all looked at me and smiled.

I am so grateful Nkem may the good Lord bless your new home.

PEJU

PEJU
Peju is my neighbor and church member, I met Peju in church and she walked up to me and said “I like your makeup though I heard you are a makeup artist will you make me up on my wedding day?”  I smiled and told her “of cos I will” I asked her for the date and she told me 15th of June 2013. I laughed because it was so close; thank God I wasn’t booked yet.  Peju has a face that brings out every details of makeup.
On  this  faithful day, I heard a bang on my door, This was 5:30am, I fearfully checked on the door and guess who???????????? The Bride, She came to wake me as she thought I had forgotten “lol” how on earth  will i forget a bride I still can’t stop laughing.  Anyways  Peju finished her makeup around 8am and she was ready to say I DO to her sweetheart; she was ready before everyone, we had to beg her to wait for pictures “lol”. This is one bridal job I enjoyed as Peju was cool as a cucumber considering that most brides are usually stressed with last minute details of the wedding. She was simply amazing.
Peju dear I wish you God’s blessings in your new home and many wonderful children (Amen).

THREE DAYS IN LAFIA

When I was asked if I could go to Lafia the capital of Nasarawa State for 3days, I was confused. I wasn’t sure I could stay in a place for that long. I was looking forward to the money, maybe it will motivate me, no it did not, and rather I got motivated when my bride Ayisha came to the studio for her trials. She was so calm, nice and gentle even though she asked me many questions “lol” she was just a loving bride. I actually enjoyed my stay, everyone was so homely and nice, the mother, siblings, friends etc. I also got to work with good hands the video and the photographers; these are the best guys to work with, wonderful people. Of course I came back with backache “lol” because everyone wanted makeup can’t complain rather, am grateful that’s the kind of job we pray for.  I am so looking forward to another Hausa wedding because they are rich in culture; I enjoyed every bit of the wedding, from the mother’s night to the Nikkia and reception.
Ayisha may the Good Lord bless your home.
